COURSE DESCRIPTION: What makes a great leader? How do leaders get the skill sets needed to be successful? Is it the ability to get people to do what you suggest or is it a quiet ability to influence others? The focus of this workshop is on understanding women and leadership. We’ll explores women’s unique leadership styles and offer techniques on how to recognize the differences often found between men and women. We’ll look at your own personal leadership style and determine how to make it even more effective. By highlighting the characteristics that effective leaders share, this workshop can help women realize the significance of leadership in successful businesses and give themselves a competitive advantage to develop their own confidence and potential.

Participants will leave with greater self-awareness, new ideas, and information on the steps to take to move their leadership performance to the next level. You'll learn how to: effectively communicate your ideas with confidence-both up and down the ladder, project the professional image you want, deflect negative criticism, put-downs and challenges to your authority, and understand the role of risk-taking in leadership.
